Some people list the boats as 20' and some as 21'...did Wellcraft make 2 diff models? Did the v20 get deeper or wider as towards the end of production? When was the last year of production?
I had also incorrectly posted this in the 'For Sale' forum: "Have any of you guys operated a 210 Coastal and a v20? How does the v20 (or v21?) compare? I owned a 1989 Coastal w/ 175 Yamaha for 10yrs and just sold it last year. I grew tired of the walkaround layout (no room!) and decided to go for an express design." Thanks for your help |

Yes, Wellcraft made both a 20 and a 21 foot "V". The 21 was made torwards the end of the production run. You can find all the information on it in the history section of this forum.

A V-20 hull measures 20'-6". So I think sometimes a lot of sellers round up and call it a 21' while some round down to 20' when they describe them in their listings. There is no difference in length between any boats that are V-20's throughout the years.
As Destroyer said though these are not to be confused with a V-21 which like he said was made towards the end of the run. The hulls from what I am told (never seen one in person) are identical to the 20'6" long V-20 but they just added a motor mounting bracket into the transom and called it the V-21

I believe Wilson is correct on all counts.
