Thumbs up evinrude 200 looper ok. thanks

fellas, thanks to all for assistance in starting problems, she started up and ran fine next day on trials. est 50 mph. shes sensitive to flooding when key depressed in starting mode. took her up to 5000 short time and ran well. too big an engine wt=450lbs 200 hp. agree with most on 150=175 is plenty. motor sounds good. like my io better for ocean fishing. outboards have come a long way and proven to be good choice. personally like inboard direct drive boats like my 28 sportfish which i built in 71 with twin 318 chryslers. will post pics when i get handle on how to etc. again thank you to all for assistance and may summer bring good fishing & boating times to you. richard

I believe pushing in the key is how you apply the choke on that engine.

no choke on those motors, push the key runs the primer that pump fuel on top of the pistons directly in the cylinders

Skools beat me to it, but yep, no choke.. direct injection. Only use the push in when it's cold... Just lift the advance lever about half way, turn the key and she should start almost instantly.

It can get a bit "tense"... You need to be easy in the turns... Especially when it's a little rough.. but it's fun as hell.
I never really run that speed unless it's calm seas... Not worth beating my hull and motor to death just for a few bounces...
