I have a suggestion to use Mineral Oil in the transducer well...sounds good to me..won't freeze and should be less tendency to induce bubbles...
Whadda you think??...

Whadda you think??...[/QUOTE Reelapeeling is right on the money. Matter of fact that's the recommended liquid for thru hull transducers. If you're using a liguid filled compass chances are you're using mineral oil already. It's the liquid of choice for the reasons Reel mentioned.

Makes perfect sense to me. I'll give it a try. I'm going to be setting the transducer in the Scout in this manner this weekend.
