Tell me what you guys know about a 140 Evinrude... I have found one with good compression that was a freshwater motor. Guy says he'll take 1000 for it. Anyone have one?

Nothing wrong with em. It's a large bore looper and shares some internal parts with the 200/225's. The large bore V-4's started in 88 and were built all the way up till around 2000 or 2001 in HP ranging from 120-140(95+ was 130/135). It's not a light weight outboard as it weighs in close to 390 pounds, but it is a torquey engine that is actually decent on fuel for a 2 smoker.

I need a 25" and this one is 25". Odd for a freshwater use motor, but I may go look at it next week sometime.
