Default Bottom Paint

I am going to be leaving my boat on a slip for the first time this year, the boat has some bottom paint on it but will need a new coat, being that this will be in the water for the whole summer I no want to use the crap that I have always used to just touch up.

So what do you guys use ??

Thank

I personally cannot recommend any type of paint since I did not use any so far, However this web site does a lot of boasting you can check it out, I am considering using there engine paint on my project.

We use CPA gold by West Marine on the Rosborough. It's ablative so it has no build up. I think I'm going to try the cheaper CPP on the V20 if we leave it in a slip this summer.

Thanks, on another site I go to the guys all there use Abblative from west marine, $139 a gal and can do with just one gal, So I have decided thats what I will use.

Boat going to BS house next week and we will start the rewire and repower, when done from there it will be going to G&S Marine to be serviced and then to my yard were my son will paint the bottom.

Then off to the slip we go!!

Joe,
Karen and I will take a ride over to the Seaport marina in the inflatable when we get the boat in to introduce ourselves and say hello.

Sounds like a plan!! I will be there by May 1st I hope?? BS is a little slow LOL

But things don't get going till June. I will have to stay on the boat one weekend to see what its all about?
This is my first time on a slip so it will be all new to me, and my boat is set up for fishing not ****ing so will have to make a few small adjustments

Can't wait to meet you guys!!

CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP!!!!!! To be honest, there is not a lot of difference between the very expensive stuff and the "West Marine" brand. If you use your boat on a fairly regular basis, then I would use the cheapest stuff you can find. I've actually gotten 2 years out of two coats of the West Marine brand.
