The sierra, tempo, attwood, etc fuel lines are all junk. Buy the OEM fuel line for your motor or make one yourself by purchasing the fuel line and OEM components. They arent cheap compared to the off brands but they will last 10x longer and be more reliable.

I personally like the EVINRUDE primer bulbs and a good marine grade fuel line. Don't use the grey or cheap thin walled stuff unless you want problems. If your looking for a complete hose for a small engine I would use an EVINRUDE hose assembly without the ends and swap your ends over. The EVINRUDE primer bulbs are heavy duty and made from good thick rubber that doesn't break down quickly in the sun or ethanol.

I just bought two fuel bulbs recently and was impressed the cheaper of the two. The first was Mercury OEM bulb that was not better than an Attwood off your local Wal-Mart shelf. The check valve only work when flow was positioned vertically and overall it just felt like cheap knock-off. The second was inexpensive by comparison to the Mercury replacement and was made by company called MARPAC. Great fuel bulb, positive vacuum regardless of its orientation and generally feels like it will standup over time. http://www.bluewateroutriggers.com/s...OW-PRIMER-BULB Only goes to show - you don't always get what you pay for ....

teh mercury's used to be the bulb of choice, but I have heard simular complaints about teh mercury's lately and have heard good things about the BRP primer bulbs. Ferm, any opinion on the grey trident B1 Fuel hose, I've been selling a bunch of it lately, hope it holds up

I seem to replace a merc bulb every year. They function fine but the rubber dries and cracks. It may be that it will still hold up even with the cracks but I don't want to chance it.

I believe that's the same hose my HYDRA had on it that I had to replace when I went to E-10 fuel. I'm running some SHIELDS EFI marine hose on mine with really good results along with a BRP primer bulb.
