Question Fish Lights

I was just reading about those underwater fish lights,
the green submersible and they also have a flourescent with blacklight.

Has anyone ever used one and what kind of success (or lack of) have you had?

used them on the boss's boat, they draw minnows from everywhere, and we all know where the minnows are, there are bigger fish feeding on the minnows.

They work great espeacialy in green, last year in the salt we has what appeared to be a small shark in and out of the light and a load of diffrent bait fish, I use them all the time in fresh water for the same effect,

I know at night time down in the KEYS the green one would bring the CUDAS in. They do bring in fish, but they also bring in preadators. They would bring the snapper in for us, but the D@MN CUDAS would cut em off.

So they sound like a Willy (good) cop, HAMMER (bad) cop, scenario.

I got a $50 Cabelas certificate for my 50th and this sounds like a good investment?!?!

they definetly work and remember a lot of the fish we go for are the predators, just that some places have cuda running around we don't.

And if you buy the cabelas version get their better units cause I bought one of their less expenxive jobs and it did not last the season.

Just wondering, the light works at night,
would it work during the day?

Only if its brighter than the sun.

I have used lights in freshwater with much success, haven't tried it in brine.

just got back from fishin with'em. Here are some pics. My buddy and I went out of Montauk and did an over nighter at the dip bout 105miles out. Flat calm and gorgeous. I would invest in lights if I could afford it. Definetely saw more action then in the past without. Squid everywhere, we were catching them with a net they were so thick. We caught a bunch of tuna while listenin to everyone squaking about no fish.
