| evinrude 1993 follow up thank you!

purchased 200 evinrude, upon arrival of sale i was amased at actual size of motor, [rear view]. thats a big hunk of metal sitting on the transom. fired up a ok! had my mech. go over & says needs a turn or two on shaft to fully position reverse gear after cable would not allow enough throw to fully engage.says sometimes when replacing water pump this can happen. says i have a looper and you'll like this one. outboards are new to me, but this older eng appears to be a little too much hp for this boat. really, how fast do you really need to go. i've designed and built many boats, and this v20 is highly adaptive to most boating pleasures. yrs ago i took this hull and stretched to 24 and flattened keel aft and went inboard 2-1 reduction 225 chrysler, perfect balanced performing boat you'll ever want to try. i only built 3, lots of good aft cockpit fishing space, etc. currently have v20 io merc experiment 488 and now this v20 outboard, there are many very knowledable people on this forum and my hats off to ya'all for assisting myself and others. thank you!

no pictures at this time, center console with 225 chrysler, absolutely perfect for slow troll and riding 3-4 footers. look up [snapperbait] in forums or tigercraft boats on google, he has a 20' tunnel drive i built, i used to build for gov't & fla. agencies. etc. the 24 had a recessed special modified aft keel to keep calcs in line, and could run in 18'' depth, the govt love it. she'd run at 42 measured mile top end.look at a 20v in the water without engine and youll notice the aft end chines out of water, its balance & weight + eng position vs angles etc. the more i talk about it the more i want to build one again. have a good day
