Default Going fishing

Me and the mrs and 2 other couples are going out in the V Saturday to the James River by the Moniter Merrimac tunnel fishing for some of those Big croker and anything else that will bite. Hope to catch some nice flounder but I think they have to be 19" to keep. If anyone knows what the min length and how many you can keep let me know.

Default Flounder size limit

Here in Virginia this summer the flounder size limit is 19 minimum, 5 per person per day. Good luck!

thanks everyone, we hope to catch enough to keep some of the group entertained; they lose interest quick. I'll try to remember to take the camera and catch a few pics of some of the group.

We finally got the lines in the water at 8:15 and right off the bat we started catching croker. They were normal size fish but not the big ones we were after, so we moved out to the east of the moniter merrimac tunnel in 50+ deep water and bing we hit the big croker and nice flounder. We ended up catching a big cooler full of fish. The women did great, I thought they would want to leave about noon, but they wanted to stay fishing when it was 5:00. We came in shortly after that and were back home by 6:45. Washed the V went in the house. We got together this morning and cleaned fish.

Now for the BAD news; one of the group grabbed the camera to take a pic late in the day and dropped the thing overbd. The owner wasn't to happy about that but at least it was the owner of the camera who dropped it.

I saw another older V that day but never was able to get close enough to contact him.

IF anyone from the forum was out there saturday fishing let me know how you did.

Lee, sounds like ya'll had a great day, I can't believe no pics. man, fried croaker sounds good, we don't get many down here, and they don't get to any size. One of these days I'm going to make it up there to fish, but it will have to be for the stripers

BTW, thanks for signing the guest book, and feel free to call with questions. posting on this site and helping people with their boats( who actually appreciate it unlike most of my day job customers) gives me a good outlet
