Well, uhm, SH!T. Don't know what to tell yeah. Sounds like your having my kind of luck right now. I've been fighting a tranny in a 98 CHEVY for a week now. Everytime I turn around something else is broken. I've got over a $1K in it now, and can't get my money out of it until the job is done. This truck has my HYDRA on hold as I had to use the money I had set aside to fix this one. You know the old saying, "It takes money to make money".

MJ, believe it or not, that no too bad a price. had to do it to my wife's o2 Tahoe last winter. GM part was $350 and it took us a couple of hours in a shop with a rack. the o'riley part is about $175. carry a rubber mallet with you & if it happens again, turn on the key and bang on the tank, some times it will pick up a prime. GM says the don't have a problem, but every dealer has a pallet of fuel pumps in their shop.

And unless you want to do it again in a year, use an OEM pump. The MASTER brand pumps from AUTOZONE and ADVANCE SUCK! I HATE using them, but customers don't want to fork out the extra dough for the good ones.

Aren't OEMS fun, my wifes 2006 CR-V has the issue with the
poorly design rear diff and it keeps breking down the oil prematurely.
HONDA says they will pay for the first fix,
but any after that we are on our own,
Well they fixed the first time at 20,000 miles, now at 33,000
it is back in the shop and we are fighting with them becasue the vehicle is still under warranty
and they want to make us pay for the fix this time.

I think after 5 HONDAs from teh same dealer, they just lost a customer.

I sure was, but its a nice truck and this is the first time I have had to do anything to it, and its just hitting 130,000 So I said heck add new tires and keep it, Then I bought a house.

What my plan is right now , Is I want to get a small car cause of the gas $$ and just save the truck for towing and winter bad weather. That will extend the life of the truck for sometime.

I find it amazing all the problems these car manufactures make and they are ht held responsible!
And it is all of them USA & Foreign!! If its not a safety issue they are not forced to a recall.
And it might not be safety but, on a consumers stand point it costs a ton of cash!! Who wants to spend $20K on a car and 2 years down the line have to put a $500 part in it!!
