Let's see...bilge-pumps, nav lights, NSFT initiation...you've got a big summer ahead... Wink Grin ...
I really had lights till I added the Pulpit, Now I have to buy some side mounts.

I still have a stern light but when I wired stuff for the conversion from Yamaha to Evinrude I messed up the wire to it and need to fix.

Bilge pumps?? I bet I never install them!

NSFT Easy come June!!

MC, WAIT TILL YOU START GETTING WATER IN ONE DAY AND I'LL BE YA'D RUN TO THE STORE AND BUY THE BIGGEST PUMP THE HAVE, THAT HAPPENED TO ME IN A FRIEND'S BOAT, GOING TO BIMINI, THE STUPID MF HIT A BIG WAVE AND THE HULL CRACKED BOUT A FOOT LONG,
BEFORE WE KNEW IT, WE WERE SWIMING INSIDE THE BOAT, CALLING MAYDAY AT 20 MILES OUT IN THE FLA STRAIGTHS, AS A RESULT, NOW I BOUGTH THE FOLLOWING:

- 2 BILGE PUMPS, 1 -800 GPH AUTOMATIC, 1, 3000 GPH AUTO/MANUAL W/SOUND ALARM
- AUTO/MANUAL E.P.I.R.B (EMERGENCY POSITION INDICATOR RADIO BEACON) 400 MHZ (SATELITE LINKED)
- 2 MUSTANG AUTOMATIC PFD'S
- VERY IMPORTANT: ALL MY PFD'S ARE LAID LOOSE INSIDE THE CABIN, IF YOU CAPSIZE OR SINK QUICKLY, YOU'D WANT THEM TO FLOAT AT THE SURFACE, NOT TO SINK IN A FANCY BAG.

I have a 1200 & a 800 GPH pumps in the basement, they are brand new and been there 5 years at least!!

I have taken bad waves over the back in the rips!! Just pull out the old hand pump, works every time!!

Just a few weeks ago I hit a rock and the whole boat listed to one side and all almost went over board!!

Just a little water and did not bother with trying to get it out.
I have since repaired all damage and repainted the whole bottom.

Still NO pumps in the boat!

I use the removable 24" pole light. The CG has boarded me twice...looking for illegals in the cuddy. First time I kept my mouth shut and let'm do their job. Second time I was a lil'POed...(same CG crew) I told'm if they came across any elsewhere I'd like to buy two for yardwork. They didn't laugh. :-[

The smaller your boat, the bigger your bilge pump. I run a Rule 1500.

DOUG:

SEE THAT'S WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND: DOWN HERE YOU SEE THESE SPEED BOATS WITH THREE 300 HP ON THEM, THAT ARE SCREAMING OUTLOUD DRUGS OR ILLEGALS, AND THEY DON'T GET SEARCHED NOR STOPPED. THERE YOU ARE IN AN OLD, SMALL (NO OFFENSE INTENDED) 20 FOOTER IN CENTRAL FLA
AND THE SAME CREW STOPED YOU TWICE LOOKING FOR ILLEGALS, GO FIGURE!!!!!

Hey skpablo, If you are not going to be anchored at night, you need a 135deg rear facing white light. Anchor lights need to be 360. Most time Coast Gaurd will want to see both in case you get stuck out at night.
Here is a link to your basic info.

probaly not legal on our boats, but a lot of the guys here have the stern light mounted on the top of the engine cowling.

next time you think you are going to get boarded, stop and take off you cowling like you are broke down, they usually turn 90* and go elsewhere.
