Kajun, I can't really help with your current problems, other than to say that your making major headway. Is your buddy Dave in the top business? I'm ready to do something top wise.

ok i plugged up that fitting on the fuel pump...evidently its the vro oil intake fitting....and she started right up! *;D it prob was getting too much air in fuel pump and not creating a vaccum or something.

pisser was pissin strong! and motor sounds great..i ran it for about 5 mins tops...plus stopping and starting a bunch of times.....i didnt want to run it with out some type of overheat alarm system hooked up.......heads were both warm to the touch that i could tell......after the intial warmup ..she starts right up first crank...

packed motor away and went to work on pulling and disconnecting all the force wiring harness and stuff......next is jackplate ..i might just have to buy one new and be done with it :-/..but so far so good!!!

airslot.. nah all he does is awnings and that keeps him busy..he says boat tops are a PITA l..plus he knows the local marine canvas guys and doesnt want to break into their business........but he is fixin my cushions *;D

you should of called brother i was at the coast but, you did the right thing by plugging the oil inlet on pump that's all there is to disconnect the oil injection and the extra 2 wires on the t/t are in your manual back wiring area they are T/T gauge.

Kajun,

Glad to hear ya got her fired up! Sound like it won't be long, the rockfish bite hasn't turned on anyway right :D

I think the alarm/buzzer should be with the controls. To test it, take the wire from eack temp sensor (located on each head, single wire (tan I think) and touch it to ground while the ignition switch in " on".

Anybody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Nice job on the hoist!!

But I think I would add another caster to the legs were you welded the new to the old on the long leg, just for added suport. lot of persure there.

If your using side mount controls the alarm is in there and there is othing to do but wire the boat.

But if using Bincal which it looks like you are then alarm is seprate. mounted inside ther gunnel near the control. at least thats were mine was?

Manual will tell you which wire goes to it.
