I agree with the "Have pumps" posts. I have one on an auto float switch and another on a dash switch. I have used them both as recently as as two weeks ago.
If it's a self bailing deck I'd even have a big one on deck in case you get swamped or stuff the bow in a huge wave. As well, Make sure you keep the scuppers clear at all times too.
All boats can sink. Even Boston Whalers...tho' not to the bottom but, I've seen'm with only the bow breaching the water. Not a pretty sight.
