Oh, yeah, the manual is right on. My V tops at 4200 rpm and hits 41 mph with just a little tweek on the trim. Plenty fast, but I cruise at 3500 rpm at 30-ish mph. Great fuel economy (I think, there ain't no odometer on this thing ;) ) and a real nice ride. And yes, it's a chebby.

Theoretically, If I use the same prop then I should have similiar results, other things being equal ?
So, in the next couple days I'll check - rpm and speed at wot via gps and the prop stats. When I bought the boat I tested compression and it was solid all around for what that's worth on this subject. Thanks for the input.
