OK Hammer, not bad, would've been a bit better if used heatshrink instead of the tape but you should be OK for awhile, good job ;)

The connections the guys are talkin' about are key to keepin' that light goin'...another thing ya wanna do is shoot a little somethin'( WD, Corrosion X, contact cleaner ) in the base and bottom of pole-connections from time to time...and if ya haven't used it for a while, w/ the juice still wet, plug it in a couple of times to keep those contacts fresh ;) 8) ...

They do make crimp connectors with epoxy coated heatshring tubing, I kept a few on board for emergency repairs, they do a pretty good job, but soldering is best

THERE IS ONE LIGTH THAT IS DETACHABLE FROM THE BASE (YOU ONLY CONNECT IT AT NIGTH WHEN YOU NEED IT), ALSO IT IS LED WHICH LAST LONGER AND USES LESS ELECTRICITY, AND IT EXTENDS ABOUT 48" (4 FEET) AND ON TOP OF THAT IT IS NARROW BEAM, WHICH DOES NOT BOTHER YOUR EYES AT NIGTH.
