What motor do you have Sean? I had a 1989 Johnson 140hp and it took over a minute for it to pee. It worried me to death and I would chicken out and cut it off thinking there was a problem with the pump. I was not waiting long enough and it was fine. So, how long did you let it run in the barrel? And with the muffs? And more importantly what kind of motor?

Its a 96 Mariner 150. like you I got scared and shut her down in fear of siezing the engine. In the barrel it only took about 30 seconds for it to start flowing nicely and Sunday we went out and it ran perfect ;D
