Looks like a nice find but not sure about the 100hr thing. With all those down riggers some one was doing allot of trolling and that will add hours very quickly. Your probably better off that it was run to keep it in shape. What are your plans for the boat?

Still, I agree that 100hrs seems impossible however look at the paint on the bolts, there is no sign the motor has been repaired. That motor appears in unbelieveable shape. :)

Jason, if it's range you want (I agree w/ Airslot...Vs are great boats, but not 80-100 miles off boats ;))...ya might wanna consider something like I did, or a combination of what you got and add to it w/tanks under the seat boxes...

If you decide to take this route, I suggest thinking "light-weight"...post back here if you wanna talk more about it...we've been talkin' about seat boxes in "Modifications" I think...

Welcome to the site!!

Congrats on your first V!!

You have some work ahead of you, but it will all be worth it in the end!

I would put the hard top and raising of the bow on the back burner for now, you have lots to do before you get there!

My boat is also a 1975 as is reels, so we know your model well *;)

It took me 5 years to get some kind of order going, cause I used it and fixed it at the same time.

Remember Starboard is your friend!! and you going to need lots of it! *I have replaced all the wood in mine with it, and can tell you anything you need to know.

Everyone here has great Ideas on lots of repairs and projects!! Look around, ask questions try to put a game plan toghter before you start, make things go much smoother!

Good Luck!!

Boy, now that MJ is on meds, I don't need a translator to figure out what he typed.

Jason, Congrats and Welcome. You found both a great boat and the best site for it. Biggest seas I've had it in were 8 to 10 ft. It did pretty good as I was moving along keeping in the troughs. Didn't stop to see how it handled at rest. Have fun.
