Sean.....don't you love how Air just casually drops in the "oh....here's a fluke I caught last week"......no big deal, right? ;)

Awesome fish Air!!!!!!

Sean, I have been using a combination of standard single hook rigs in pink, green or white plus a Spro jig setup. I use a 3-6 oz Spro jig with a dropper loop tied about 10-12" above it. From that I add a teaser that is either a small Spro (3/8 - 1 oz) or a standard teaser with white or green bucktail about 24-36" back. I caught my biggest fish on the Spro setup. I don't do a little of serious up and down jigging like some guys around here do. I tend to move it a bit slower and sometimes only a small up and down motion.

WHale, I hear ya.. Air teases us with a few decent fluke shots a maybe a month ago, complains that he's working to much, then forgets to mention the 9lbr he got th"other day!!" *;D
Air, congratts again the fish! ;D ;D
Whale do you catch a decent amount of fish on the bottom jig itself? I know allot of guys are using them, but every time I go to pick one up it always, next time I'll try it ;D
Thanks for the ifo!

I wish I could contribute to this thread but my fluke fishing hasn't been that great this year. :-/ I generally use a Mario's fluke rig in chartreuse green color. It has a 4 oz. weighted jighead with plastic squid for the teaser and the lower line has the glitter green plastic squid. We usually tip the hooks with some cut squid strips. In the past we have had great luck with these rigs but this year not so hot for some reason.

3 way swivel, 15 lb. mono drop loop for sinker, 30 inch section of 40 lb. flourocarbon snelled to a 4/0 khale style hook dragging a live spot, small croaker, finger mullet, small menhaden, white perch, bluefish.

BIG LIVE BAITS!!! No skirts, plastic, wire, spinners, beads. The less hardware the better I think. Fish see that stuff... You need a med. heavy baitcast / conventional style rod with a baitcaster like an abu 6500 filled with 30 lb. braid. The braid is the key in deeper water and heavy currents.

ShorePower, you rigs are exactly like how I fish, bit I use the Bling Bling. I have the whole day tomorrow (actually just got back from the boat filling her up) and my only objective is a door mat!! I'm going to try loosing some of the rapper style bling, and go for a good old country Door Mat!
MJ, if anyone ever had a doubt, that big is better, that last post should straighten out! Nice! ;D
Shawsee, tomorrow is going to be perfect, get your a$$ down here!! ;D ;D

Sean: I have used the bling & the live bait next to my friends using naked live baits and they were outfishing me so I switched. Here is a nice one my friend Brian Hill caught this past week here in the Ches. bay
10 lb. 14 oz. on a live mullet in about 30 ft. of water.
