Ya know, Air, I can't argue with your logic one bit! *I am interested in what level "restoration" this boat has received. * ...trade yer house? *Damm, where would you live? haha edit: HEY, I'm a junior member now! |

Is it just me, or does this boat look like it's had bottom paint in the past?

Well, it looks like a new transom and console. I could be wrong, but I don;t think that is a factory 78 console? The bow rail is a low profile "Striper" rail that was standard back in 78'. From the few details I can see in the pics, I'd say it was fairly thourough and the resto. Heck, its got new power, which means at least a new wiring harness for the motor and new gauges for the ETEC. Seems to me that it would have been foolish not to rewire the boat at that time. My big concern would be the choice of the "HO". Thats the big block Etec and weighs 100#'s more the the regular 200. I'd have to see her in the water, where the water line is in relation to the scuppers.

Air: I agree with ya 100% on the HO choice and weight. Slinger made the right choice IMHO with the small block. (Man, I can't wait for a performance report from him on that one!) Still would like to know if it was a "liner-off" restoration on this boat...new fuel tank, etc, etc. |

MP, I really don't know how they compare on ride; I've never ridden either one. Sorry. Some of the more experienced guys might be able to tell us...
