etecs are sweet MJ, but I know two fellows I see at the dock sometimes when we launch, they have the big Suzzies and they both have had others and they swear by them. Say they are the best all around engines they ever had. One of them has had it for three years now.

Are they local?
Not bad, even after you add cotrols, prop, gauges and odds and ends still only around $8,000.00

I just scored a deal on a 2001 Merc 90 hp four stroke with 100 hours on it for $2500 + another $150 for controls, gauges, wiring, cables, etc.
the guy is delivering it to MJ's house tomorrow morning.
I know it's not going to be stinky and loud like Ferminator likes, but it should be a nice match for my little ProLine. As long as the weight of the beast doesn't sink my boat. Right MJ?

"long as the weight of the beast doesn't sink my boat. Right MJ?" Are you reffering to the engine or MJ...
Nice Find CB, $2500.00 would be allot easier to hide from the misses the 9000.00 I just put down $1,300.00 on the etec and financed the rest, 120.00 a month with no prepayment penelties. Engine whould be in Westport MA (Purchased from FL Tripp & Sons.. great guys so far) in a week and on the boat before May...
CB, any pics of the Proline??

You pick.
I'll try to get some pics tomorrow. The boat has been in MJ's yard since I bought it.
