ok got them out... my measuring tape is only 16ft...the cables are about 17ft..brand is "Morse" here are the ends that connect to the binnacle.. here's the engine stand...even after i modified it it still wont let me get close enough to it...but i may be able to get it mounted with 2 people, but i'm trying to get it so i can do everything myself, mount and unmount motors... i might have to modify the front hoist legs so that are alil more spread out.

I don't know hjow high that thig you have goes, but if you mke the stand legs short on the oter side from the motoer that would get you closer? The weight of the motor would be on the long leg side and balance nice. Just getting over the top?? Or come at it from the side?? Or hang a chain fall or come along in the garage and transfer to it to add to the stand, use the hoist for mounting on to the boat?

i just went a tried to come in from the other side of it...it didnt do much good....prob is the width of the stand....i'll have no choice but to modify the hoist legs.. i would use my rafters in my garage but it was built in 1942 lol i did it once with a 85hp force and was scared chitless the whole time....lots of creaking lol i guess i could just mount it on the boat instead of putting it on the stand , kinda wanted it on stand though for awhile till i was able to go through it and make sure it would run before mounting. here's a better pic of the legs..

Add 4'' blocks between casters and stand....then motor-lift oughtta roll right under from the side ;) ... That stand looks strangely familiar ::) ... ;D ;D ...
