I installed the B60-20 dg angled transducer, pretty easy install (cross my fingers) but if anyone wants to know I had a existing hole for a wash down and I used the existing hole. I made and installed a tapered wooden plug and drilled a pilot hole in it and then used the hole saw. Here are some pics of todays work. *::) 8)

wooden plug and removed hull after drilling with hole saw

This the existing washdown that I removed and used that existing hole.

Nice work. Don't take this the wrong way, but I hope it works. I really don't like that location. The strake that stops ahead of your ducer is going to cause turbulence and poor readings, at least thats what I see in the pics. Let us know how it works. It's not the end of the world to glass that hole in and move it outboard 6 ".

Yea i thought of that also, If I had it to do over with no hole I would have moved it outbd another 6"-12" so the ducer would be exactly flat, that part of the hull is rounded so the nut doesnot seat exactly perfect.

Just remember, if your not satisfied with how it works, it can be fixed, and its not all that hard to do.

garagenc:

I have a question on the Xducer you bought. How long is the cable? I'm looking at the same rig and was wondering if I need an extension to run up to the radio box on my other boat or will the cable already on the xducer is long enough.

It comes will about 10 ft on the ducer but you tell them what fish finder you have and how many pins it has and they give you another cable about 25 ft long to go with it.
Let me know if you want any additional info and I'll provide.

I only had a 2 1/4" dia hole saw (ducer is 2 3/8") but then I bought a drum sander to fits on a drill and sanded the hole out another 1/8" in dia and the ducer fit right in. It only took about 3 extra minutes to drill the hole and sand.

Ok Guys I've done some more work on the boat and here's afew pics to prove I've been working on it.

here's my REDNECK motor lift built on a truss.

Here's the new 350 replacing my old 305

Here's the painted bilge waiting on the new occupant

I pulled the boat out and moved the motor in line so the lift could pick it up and then I pushed the V back in and set the motor in place

Here's the little tractor that would

I have the motor bolted in and mostly hooked up, I'm just having some problem trying to figure out the wiring for the alternator. I'm hoping to have it dunked and try starting this weekend.

I'll take more pics as I get more time.
