One of my friend uses a spare battery in the back of his vehicle. Just runs the power leads with aligator clips on the end and connects it while launching and loading.

Seen a few trailer with a steel battery tray holder mounted on the trailer. Not a bad idea, just as long as somebody doesnt come along and steel your battery.

you could make a steel battery box and mount to your trailer then throw a lock on it.

I have one of them cheap winches and it worls like crap!!
This is were you get what you pay for!!

But any way as far as a power source, You can use one of ther battery jump starter things, Its great back up on the water if needed, and it will power the winch just fine!

I have had a lot to do! My daughter had a accident were she was changing a CD and went off the road hit a curb, blew two tires and bent two wheels.

So I had to search the bone yards for wheels and tires to fix the car!! >:(

That one looks better and its for marine, so I would hope it is made with some ss bolts? Bet its not.

Get what ever you can afford!! But I hate the things, everyone I know has more storys then not about them messing up!!

Find a ramp that allows you to drive on and you need nothing!
