Changin' up the subject here...seein' your oil tank brings to mind: MAKE SURE all the components, filters, lines, pumps, etc are workin' as good as you can make 'em on the auto-oiler on your motor...Yammer's as good as motors get, but w/out that auto-oiler doin' everything it was designed to do, KABOOM!!... :o ... my B-I-L's toasted when the intake in the oil reservoir clogged :P ...

Not tryin' to scare ya, but don't underestimate the importance of that thing ;) ...and if ya move it, make sure no hoses pinched or other cranial flatulations ;) ...

Tuna my old V (85) had a drain like yours but also had a pump installed in the fish box well itself right on the bottom and a hose that ran to one of the thru hulls

use a macerator to pump it out, it will perform better than a bolge pump, and won't clog up as easy, you can plump it so it will hold ice and water, turn it on and it will pump it all out

According to Wellcrafts specs (see my new gallery in the history section) the fish box in the floor on an '87 is insulated.

MJ, I guess it is a secret.
