Thats the one. The people here have been great. I am looking on the net trying to find some tub/shower for my mom to use when she moves in with us. I am thinking of closing in the garage and making that a bedroom but I don't want to do that unless I have to. Also thinking of putting a metal building in with a carport. I hate to lose my garage but I gotta take care of momma. Any one here have any experience closing in a garage to make a room? Do you have to seal the concrete before putting carpet in?

I am actually just ripping the rug up from the floors of my garrage. *It was turned into a apartment 20 years ago. *It is a dry floor so it doesnot look like any seeler was used, though I do not think it is expensive so it wouldn't hurt.
I am actually laying down laminate flooring, the slip/lock kind. DUpont makes a real nice floor and simple to lay. Just lat a 6mm plastic type layer down then connect the peaces like a big puzzel. I was weary @ 1st, but it actually looks real nice, and not to expensive.
Good luck and best wishes for you and your family.

some of the engineered flooring is suitable for below grade applications or directly over concrete. There is a vapor barrier,of sorts, that is sold w/ the flooring, I forget if there is a specific name for it , but that goes down first. If your floor gets "damper" than avg. I don't think I would risk it....you'll have to lay a plywood subfloor down, vent it properly, and install over that. Different field conditions call for different installations. If you're on a budget, a simple plywood subfloor and carpet would be the way to go....easy to rip it out if no longer needed or for the next remodel ;)

Finally picked up the 4th V20 the other day. I took some pics but Walmarts machine was broke so no pics yet. I paid $1.00 for the boat and trailer. The motor is missing but the outdrive is there. They cut part of the floor out and layed some plywood there and never finished the job. I will post pics when I get a chance.

Thanks I will *try that. My neighbor builds boats and he said that he wanted one and that he might make a mold out of it. He is swamped with boat orders right now and he has built a 26' boat out of two boats that he pieced together. I will try to get a pic of that boat posted.
