The above sugestions should do it for you...you could also place a piece of brass over the screw and tap it in a couple of times, solid and short taps and try again, remember righty tightty lefty loossy.

Like the others said. soak with P B Blaster for at least 30 min, Tap straight on with 1/2 in. brass rod . Then angle a large screwdriver in the counterclockwise direction to the slot and tap. It should come on out. If not tie a rag soaked in penetrating oil onto it and leave a few days, then try again. Its a really short screw. When ya get it out sling that b***h a flying!!

Don't forget to get new washers for both screws!! and new screws if you damage the that one. A little anti seize and you be good for now on!

I had the same problem. the problem is you cant get enought presure on the screw and turn it the same time go to a dollar store near you they sell a srew driver that looks like a T handle and comes with differasnt bits believe me you can put pressure and turn it the same time it works and its a good tool to have

Well I got it out!!! Soaked it for a couple of hours in PB Blaster. Than used a impact driver i picked up for $12 at Pep boys. It took atleast 10-15 shots to get it loose but no damage. So all in all everything went well. Thanks for the help guys.
