Down in the coastal flatlands, a 6 wouldn't have any probs, but a buddy w/ an F150 sho would be handy ;) ...

You can tell ford country ain't where they from. *;D
Full sized pu and even V6 will do it. You ain't talking about 3000lbs max.
Well maybe 3500.

'78 cuddy with V-8 I/O dry weight is 2650 lbs, 1000 lbs for the trailer, full tank o gas, and I'm right around 4K. Yours will be lighter with the OB, but you'll be in the ball park at 3500 lbs. Towing isn't the problem, that's the easy part, it's the stopping that will get you in trouble. Check the tow vehicle's tow capacity, and DO NOT exceed it, actually, you don't want to go past 80% to be safe. My wife's 96 Explorer with 4.0 V-6 is only rated at 4250 lbs, no way I would risk that. It's really up to you, but find a buddy with an F-150 or a Dodge Ram. I'd push it before letting a Chevy tow it ;D

C'mon Ford guys, don't let these yahoos get away with that.
