Tin: I dont know anything about those kinds of boats but it looks like a good deal and you could probably get it a lot cheaper than the asking price at least thats the way they sell down here because no one has any money. IF you are JUST going to troll around close to the slip then the 50 would be plenty but if ya need to do some serious running then it would take forever to get anywhere and overwork the engine..but its a neat looking boat..Frank

Willy, only 1 more pic of the engine. I actually have a call in to the broker for more info. I'm real curious as the cruise speed, I'm thinking about 10-12 kts, but hoping for more. It has 2- 18 gallons tank. I think a 90hp would push it where I'd like to be, 17-20kts, just a guess though.

I'll let you know what I found out.

Just did a little more research on the Sisu. I doubt that 50hp will cruise at even 10kts.

A 115 4s will cruise it at 15 MPH (3800rpm), top speed 22-24mph @ 5200. 3.5gph @ cruise.

Now this is cool. 22 Sisu w/140 Suzie 4s, cruise 20kts. I'll take it!

Did some internet checking around on those boats, a few different companies make the same design, based on the Lowell hull design. Very sea worthy, lot of people use the 30 footer for long coastal stuff. They are slow and their draft on a 22 footer with their keel design is 3 ft :o Leaves my friend out down in Barnegat Bay area. Supposed to be very well built, stringers on the mid 80' era boats were fully encapsulated and heavy duty. Popular with lobster guys as a semi displacement hull with a diesel engine in the bigger size as fuel efficeint and sea worthy and carry a lot of weight well. The 22 footer is over 7000 lbs. Heavy boat! Fisherman that take out paying customers don't use them due to their slow speed but a lot of recreational guys up north like them because they are comfortable in the cold and due to the huge tide changes they get they have some heavy duty waves in inlets to handle and they handle them well.
