Good Point BrianCT12, i was actually just checkingout which years were self bailing. I didn't know that the floor was lifted that substantially. Got to think about that one. I might think self bailing is more important in rough seas but i wouldn't want to fall overboard either.

I don't care if you have the extra 2 -2.5 inches, if its that rough that your worried about falling overboard sit down or go into port. Mine is a 1990 out board version cockpit drains into splash well.

Photo of my nephew who is 13yrs and about 5'6".

Mac just hook hoses to the deck drains and run out the rear sides of the boat.

If I'm not mistaken, everything after '77-'78 were self bailing decks.

Here's a photo of the drains. There are no holes in the corners. Water drains along a channel at the base to cut outs in the splash wells splash guard. Skools what is that board called? Billy Mac ;D

My 78 is not self bailing, goes into the bilge. It's an I/O though.

right CB all after 78 were self bailing, if someone hasn't removed the drain hoses should be deck drains in those two outside corners hum??? do it like this here a V20 with them plumbed out the sides

here's a 250 in the back that goes to those side type drains as well

That's how i'm hooking up my deck drains is out the sides

I have no problems with the way it is, Just that the scupper holes in the splash well are right at the water line and below when I go to the rear of the boat. Billy Mac ;D
