good job on the launch whalen, felt good didn't it? Where do you put in over on that Conn. side? I may be straight across from you. I don't know if you know my side of town, I am about 5-6 miles west of the Port Jeff. ferry and about 3 miles east of the Long Island lighting co. power plant in Northport. Also , my boat came from Fairfield Conn. and I got it over to my side via the PJ ferry

Phes....boat is in Stonington/Mystic right on the border with Rhode Island. I can be in RI waters in minutes, not to mention NY waters at Fishers Island. Three different fluke regs to contend with!

whalen, your about 65-75 miles east of me. I do some fluking around Fishers with the TinMan.....he's a member here and personal friend who lives out in Southold L.I.[ he hasn't been online in a while] I've gotten some nice fluke out there, no doormats just good 5,6,7 lbers. Have a safe season and good luck w/ the boat....you got a good one ;D

OK....here are some pics from the family splashdown on Saturday. *Our first family excursion started out fine but the marine forecast was off (1-2 foot seas). *Once we got out of the cove the swells were pretty big (3-4) and the kids got a bit freaked out. *We did not get to stay out long. *

Heading away from the dock:

Check out the house on the way out to the Sound.

Local wildlife:

This is the bridge we have to go under to get to LI Sound. *Bimini passes at low tide with about 1.5 feet of clearance. *Bimini comes down at high tide.
