Mooring

;DI have a mooring I can use for the next month, which is perfect with the Tall Ships here and the 4th; the ramps will be a ZOO. Not to mention it’s directly in front of my fishing zone, and next to the beach we go to, PERFECT ;D ;D ;D
The only thing is, is I am not sure how to secure the boat ??? Alright, before you laugh, I know How to secure it to the line & Cleat, but this mooring is set up that there is a rope that goes from the mooring to the rocks and back. You just pull the boat in, and pull the boat back out. My question is: how do I secure the line so that the wind does not blow the boat back in? My buddy who got us the mooring asked the guy he got it from and his said just to tie/twist the line up? But that does not make sense to me as it will just un twist?
Any help will be appreciated.
