I'm running my 170 I/O without insulation and I think it could be quieter at cruising speed. When I saw Destroyer's post, I kicked myself again - I had a pile of lead we demo'd out of of an x-ray room in the early 90's and finally got rid of it just before I started fishing seriously. I could be casting a lot of weights and maybe quieting down my engine. The sheet wasn't all that thin and probably would have made the engine cover weigh a ton, so I'll have to forgive Destroyer for making me kick myself AGAIN - I do wish I had that lead though.

If God didn't have a purpose for us we wouldn't be here, so
Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly.
(Leave the rest to God)

Silence, in the face of evil, is itself evil. Not to speak is to speak, not to act is to act. God will not hold us guiltless.
