RP:

I'M GOING TO SEE THE BOAT TODAY, IF IT IS MIN GOOD COND. I'M GONNA GET IT, GUY SAYS IT BELONGS TO A FLORIDA MARINE PATROL GUY AND IT IS WELL TAKEN CARE OF, BUT YOU KNOW DEALERS, ALL CARS THEY HAVE, BELONGED TO AN OLD LADY THAT ONLY TAKE'M OUT ON SUNDAYS....... (YEAH RIGTH!!!!).

NOW, WHAT THE NORMAL COMPRESSION FOR AN OUTBOARD?

AS TO THE ENGINE, I BELIEVE IS THE ORIGINAL SINCE THIS MODEL AND YEAR IS LISTED WITH MERC 150.

IF IT IS TRUE THAT IT BELONGS TO A FMP GUY, THEY USUALLY MAINTIN THE BOATS IN GOOD SHAPE, PLUS, BEING ALL DAY IN A BOAT, THEY DO USE THEIR BOATS MUCH .

Lesterus...you oughtta get that boat if it checks out...compression test and PUT IT IN THE WATER AND RUN IT...

Also check the lower-unit oil...if it was me, I'd pay a Merc Tech to go over it and see what he finds...may help in negotiating price ;) ...

Man, I've heard that the Florida Sun is hard on stuff, guess that's part of it. A little elbow grease can go a long way.

YEP! IF YOU DON'T WAX THE BOAT EVERY 6 MONTHS IN COUPLE OF YEARS IT'S BEAT UP AND FULL OF SPIDER CRACKS.

THIS BOAT HAVE NO CRACKS AND IT'S JUST DULL, BUT HAVE SOME GELCOAT SPITZ THAT HAVE TO BE FIXED.

I'M WAITING FOR A FRIEN THAT HAS SOME OUTBOARDS
THAT HE BOUGTH FROM CUSTOMS TO SEE IF HE HAS ANY FOR ME, 2002-1999, WHEN HE TELLS ME WHAT HE HAS I'M GONNA POST THEM HERE.

DO YA THINK 5K,S IS OK FOR THIS BOAT.

MY FLOOR IS GIVING UP AND I DONT WANT TO WAIT, I THINK I CAN GET 4500 FOR IT BECAUSE IS IN GENERAL GOOD SHAPE

If she runs and floats it's worth 5K I'd think. Man, now I'm starting to think again. Got to quit this thinking stuff...

I paid $6500 for my 94 V-21 w/ the 94 Yamaha 150 that crapped out on MJ. But it had kicker motor, new 2005 trailer, new controls, new oil tank, new stainless prop, new water separator, new guages, outter hull painted with awlgrip, new rub rail, new deck plates, and new transom hatches.

It came from Florida, but the guy before me had it in Virginia and did all of the work above before selling to me.

I think $5000 - $5500 would be a good price.

Blue, did you have a gun in your pocket when you negotiated with him. Did you leave a dead horse head in his bed the night before ;D

He he he...nope...I just told it like it was. I said I am willing to pay $6500 so its $6500 or nothing! He apparently liked the $6500 better than "nothing". 8)

BLU:

I OFFERED 5K THEY CAME BACK WITH $5,500, I'M GONNA WAIT TO SEE IF THEY COME DOWN BECAUSE THIS THING HAS NO TRAILER AND NEED COSMETIC WORKS: POLISING, NEW STRIPPING (IT HAS NONE)
PLUS IT HAS SOME KING OF REPAIR IN THE BOW GEL COAT. YOUR FOR THAT PRICE SOUND A STEAL.

THIS BOAT IS PROBABLY HAVE TO BE PAINTED (OUTER HULL) AND THAT'S MESSY AND EXPENSIVE. I HAVE TO CONSIDER IF I WANNA GO THRU IT.

OH, ONE MORE THING, STOP POSTING PICS OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL BOAT!!! PLEASE. IT MAKES ME WANNA WORK OVERTIME.
