God forbid he would learn how to use something before he really needs it.
Read the manual. The best time to learn new electronics is under a bright blue sky when you don't need it.

Well I meet with Smart a$$ CB this morning to get the reel, and guess what, he could not give it to me like he said cause he decided to test it and it goes BACKWARDS!!!
Seems he hooked the wires on the wrong side, so now he has to take it apart again!!

Well just hit forward to realease line and reverse to. Well if I have to explain that you might want him to fix the problem.

The motor only turns in one direction. There is a diode to prevent it from going in reverse. It was a 50/50 shot at getting it right. There are no markings on the motor. I knew I should have checked before buttoning everything up.







And excuse me Mr Smartazz! If you hadn't totally trashed the reel to begin with, we wouldn't even be talking about it.
This guy attempted to do his own repair, gave up and handed me a box full of parts.
