The pleasure has been all mine. I assure you of that! Now I gotta get to work on 7G's and try to catch up with Willy.

Here is your Monday morning laugh:

I've been working on staining my house (wood siding) for like a month. Got started at 9 am Saturday morning with beautiful weather. The wife was at her mom's helping her do some stuff. I work my tail off and get done around 4:30 pm. All my buds are at the lake riding around enjoying the weather so I decide to head to the Rock. All good...but did I mention I was worn out? We rode around on the boat for longer than I cared to ride - I just wanted to go back to Cory's house to put my steak on the grill. Long story short I go to jump on the boat before heading back to Cory's and guess what? Chad's 23' CC has a T-Top! I found out when my forehead plowed right into it sending me backward bouncing off the dock and into the drink, cooler in hand w/ steak and about 6 cold ones, cellphone on my side and wallet in the ol back pocket. Good times!

Amazingly I only have one bruise under my right armpit from where I bounced off the dock. I was able to retrieve the cooler which still had the steak in it, the beers were bobbing around I managed to get them too. I let my phone and wallet bask in the sunlight all day Sunday but the phone is hosed, although my 1 gig micro SD card made out fine which means I didn't lose the 30 or so pics I did not have backed up. I'm getting a new phone today (work phone) and the wallet seems ok although fishing licenses etc. are a little faded.

Oh and did I mention last week I laid down on the couch for a nap only to wake up and realize I had a pair of vice grips and my maui jim's in the same pocket? The MJ's broke in half at the nose piece! Awesome string of luck I'm having here!

Anyway, just lettin people know.

When I saw your post I was thinking about asking if your headed to OBX anytime soon to go off shore and we could hook up and I'd follow you out. After reading all of your bad luck I'm re thinking that.

SR - look at the bright side, I'm over the bad luck hump now. Nothing but GOOD luck to look forward to....the law of averages....when you're on the bottom there's no where to go but up! (or occasionally side to side LOL)

And to answer your question, I cannot for the life of me get my crew in gear to go. I'm going to have to find a new crew or just go it alone. I did talk to one of the other boat owners who normally goes with us and he mentioned it. I told him to let us know when they decide to go. I'll drop you a line when and if we ever get something nailed down. You do the same.

I left out a chapter in the V20 story:

There was this cool cat named TMcGovern ya'll might remember, I haven't seen any posts from him in a while but I think he still hangs around.

Anyhow he's 45 min south of me and I went to see him about a now infamous bench seat. I showed up to a warm welcome and he takes me in to the garage to see the seat which had a nice weather cover over it. I said I'll take it how much? He says, I don't know what do you want to give me? I felt bad to make a price on another man's stuff so I pressed back and he said $50, which was an outstanding deal for a V20 bench seat with a custom cover and welded stainless steel frame. Some of the wood in the seat is rotten but I got a lot of use out of it until the backrest broke free last summer. Now it needs a rehab which I'll eventually get around to and it will be good as new. I really lucked up on the bench seat. Those have been in pretty high demand around here in the past, ask Hammer LOL.

A nice guy, that TMcGovern fella is and I love my bench seat. Thank you!
