Well, I got the platform. IT is just like PD's. After eyeballing things lat night, it appears that I can mount the platform over the tab's cylinder with no problem. It will place the platform about 4" above the waterline, but with a 3 step ladder that shouldn;t be an issue.

Now I just have to determine if I place the handle to the inside, outside, or use both. Any words of advise there? I am think to just set mine up just like PD has his? Then again...I may put the handle on the inside, leaving the outside open and the transom eye unobstructed?

Any thoughts?

My only concern would be inhibiting the lifting eye. Looks like Pipe and CY have accounted for that.

mine came with the platform. the only problem with mine is the inside handle. if you are towing a skier or tube the inside handle is in the way of the rope (if you are using both transom hooks in a triangle style tow)

just a thought, hope this helps

but it is a lot less strain on the transom with 2 handles

Here another angle. The handle doesn't much interfere with a tow rope or obstruct the lifting eye.

Ah yes, the obligatory pics. They are on the camera, which is not with me at this time. The install was a piece of cake. I was able to mount the platform so that it cleared the actuator for the tab by 1/2" and all works well. The platform was well tested over the weekend with hours of tubing, waterskiing, and clamming. It was even used during fishing. Fishing was off, but the clamming was outstanding so the seafood dinner was still on the table. Come on fall rockfish bite...
