Try cutting the catfish (small ones) into bite size chunks, marinade in Texas Pete for one hour, bread em, and fry em up...man that's good! Of course, my favorite freshwater fishes are brim and crappies: fileted perfectly, coated with House Autry seafood breader, fried in 350 degree canola, and dusted with Old Bay...damm I'm hungry now!! |

Fire, I'm with you 100% on the bream. Definitely the best tasting fresh water fish around my local neck of the woods.
We perpare striper with the texas pete exactly like you mentioned and it is outta site! I also have a friend that goes to Santee every year and brings back tons of blue catfish. Now thats some good catfish.
