Welcome, SeaRover!! I have Alum. Side tanks and other then having to relocate the Vents so they stoped leaking fuel all over ther place I have not had a problem with them. The only down side with them is weight change from side to side when one is getting empty. I fixed this buy adding 25 gal poly were the old I/O use to be. Now the side tanks are aux tanks. Yes I have converted my V20 from I/O with a bracket and a 175 hp Yamaha. You can see it and a lot of nice boats from this board in the photo gallery.
