That job here in Louisiana would run about $2000 - $2500 (I checked recently). I had the transom done in my old 75' in 1993 and it was $1500. If you're not going to DIY, then I'd pass if your looking at $4500. Keep in mind however that probably any V you look at will have transom problems by now unless its been fixed already.
