Fuel bulb locations

Wow, that is bizarre. I was just doing an unsuccessful Internet search for this same topic and when I came back to this site, here it is. You guys are the best. Anyway, I still have that original manual pump between the Racor filter and the EFI outboard. So I was told to bypass it, but I was concerned about adding a bulb to prime. So, is inside the rear enclosed compartment, but between the filter and motor an OK location for the primer bulb (Should only be about 3 or 4 feet to the engine)?
