I have a friend that has a merc that has the same problem, oiler sounds all the time, he to cut the wires.
I told him what I am going to tell you now, FIX THE DAM THING! Its bad enough that there is no way to tell when the oiler fails under way till the motor blows! (Been there done that :'( ) Let alone to have a safty sounder disconnected! What you think its there for?? All my motors will be disconnected for now on! I have no idea why people say OMG you have to mix :o ?? It takes you extra 1 min to do it using the mix bottle that reel mention, I got mine for $4
