vic (fellow v20 member) built my dash out of ipe, and it looks great. he builds custom decks and had some scrap. i finished it with cetol and it looks like teak..

Hey AIRSLOT, just recieved a phone from a buddy, works in construction, he might have some 1/4 alum. for us as a backing plate for the pulpit. Also put a call in to a friend at the boat yard, so if you cant find anything, I might be able to get us both a plate, free of cost.

Well, that would be good news, because it turns out we cleaned house last week, everything went to the scrap yard. On the bright side, the employee moral fund got a nice boost. ;D

Hey AIR, I came across a plasma cutter today and cut this piece if you need it. It's 12x13. Should be plenty for the underside of the cuddy for a backing plate. Unless you already found one.
