CY the road trip is a great idea. The vacation time is already spoken for this year though with a fishing/diving trip to Baja on June with this outfit:

parishht, I'm on the Northern Ca coast ~ 15 miles North of Eureka and Humboldt bay. We fish primarily out of Trinidad and Eureka with occasional dive trips to Mendicino/Fort Brag area for abalone (aka: seafood of the gods).

I was just curious, cause I have two sons in S Ca.
in Los Angeles.

I make at least one trip a year.

I was born and raised in the LA area and worked on an ambulance there for years. Then I escaped to the other end of the state. I'm about 90 miles south of Oregon now.
