Default New member intro

My first post on yall's forum so bear with me (let the flaming commence.)

I am not a 12 year old that lives in a mansion. I am a 37 year old forest firefighter, son of a retired Coastie, and I live in a crappy trailer in Central VA surrounded by a few small boats. I've been on the water since I was born (my folks say I could swim before I could walk.) I pitched a fit when Pops sold his Mako 20 (still a little pissed.) I love boats and found out about the V20 by chance and happened on this site. I am in the learning stages and starting my search for a V20 CC. I like the lines of the boat and how everyone seems to say that it performs well in a chop. Not sure if I want a project or a boat ready to use but I know that I will own one someday and I'm in no rush. (The pictures of some of the CC, closed-transom V20's with bracketed outboards on this site make me drool.) My planned uses for it will be fishing trips to the Chesapeake, Eastern Shore of VA, and Cape Hatteras.

Since perusing this site, I've learned that when I buy one I'd better make damned sure that I post pics or there will be trouble!!!!!!! Great site! I am looking forward to learning more while I search for my V20.

Wellcome FIRE.

You will learn bunches here, I haven't asked an unanswered question yet.

The answers are sometimes BS, but I always get an answer.

Enjoy your search for your V.

Thanks!

I got it: pics for Hammer; an answer, even if wrong, is better than no answer, and pics of alternative items are accepted.

hilarious!!

Everyone that can launch there boats at will is lucky. I can't get on the water til May because of Spring fires. :(

So, get those boats wet for me!! ;D
