Bracket was soaked in PB blaster last night. Today when I came home from work I was able to free it up. I'll probably wind up replacing the bracket if I get serious about using the kicker.

Trolling is my game and I use a 9.8 Merc kicker. *Mine is on the port side and batteries starboard the boat is pretty even except for me. *Trolling for walleyes 1.5 - 2.0 is the speed needed, which is very easy for the 9.8. * *Billy Mac *;D Mine is tightened down and I use the helm for steering.
