Default Wellcraft Bracket

This is the strangest Wellcraft Bracket i ever seen. Cant figure out the floatation that just sits on top. Does it get bolted in or something ?

Boys, this is right down the street from me. If you want me to have a lookey, let me know. I can get more pics too.

The floatation is kinda weird. It is obvious that the bracket doesn't seal tight to the transom (look at the bottom edge). Wouldn't that plastic thingy just kinda float out?

maybe you could use it as a spare gas tank. gas is lighter than water, so you still have positive flotation.
