Default Re: rewire

My 1988 is in the same state Repirts is... I have had it for about 8 years now and with the arrival of two small children, I am sorry to say, its upkeep has been on the back burner. I have been meaning to rewire the entire boat because it seems to have enough wire for 4 boats.

Can anyone tell me a simple wiring method for our boats. Would two heavier gauged wires to the panel from the battery switch and then smaller gauge wires to assorted electronics be the way to go ? I have to get rid of that mess of wires underneath the panel. I am concerned about disconnecting the engine wires as I have no luck and they will probably never work again.

Any help would be appreciated.

- Tom
