You would have to see the sharks in a feeding frenzy underneath those shrimping boats when they dump there bi-catch(all of the juvenile fish that we aren't seeing in the flats anymore >:(). I was heading out with my buddy in his 43' TORRES to go diving and fishin and we stopped by one of those shrimpin boats out of BOCA GRANDE, HOLY $HIT BATMAN!!! There were hundreds of sharks below the shrimping boat(NO B.S.), and out of the depths came up a huge shark(this was 2weeks before they got the world record out of BOCA GRANDE, 99.9% certain it was the same shark that I saw that mornin). With all of the red tide lately it has killed off many of the fish in the gulf and the sharks have now targeted the fishing boats for food because of the by catch they dump over. Plus those old hulls are so soaked in fish blood that they wreak of it.

Makes sense, sharks catch on fast....The trawler by catch is a real problem here in north carolina also. A few weeks back I trolled by 8 shrimpers clleaning nets and there must have been thousands of small 3 to 4 inch trout and flounder floating on the surface waiting for gulls and pelicans to scoop them up and the shore line was white with little dead fish..Its a real political problem and its killing the in shore fishery down here..You cant do that day in and day out without doing serious damage to the fishery...Dont get me started on gill nets stretched across creeks which almost wiped out the puppy drum..Frank
