Teak treatment question

Hey guys remember to throw away all staining rags and other stuff used away from the house. There have been cases where the chemicals have reacted to other things and ignited in the trash. I set mine in a pail in the back yard so if they would ignite they a far from the home.

No spark needed for some of the chemical reactions.

In my area, there was a roofing company that had some chem soaked rags
just thrown in a corner.
Next thing you know, huge fire.

Linseed oil is one of the worst for spontaneous combustion. Had a buddy who had a garge fire take half his house. After staining the deck he threw the rags in a pile...and the rest is history.

Hammer, Your teak looks good. I need to do my cuddy door. Someone painted it with brown paint so I have to strip and sand it. Hopefully it comes out as good as yours.

Hammer, lookin good. *One trick I found when reattaching the door frame to the plywood bulkhead(not the piano hinge, but the frame) is to drill out the screw holes with a 1/4 " drill bit and insert a 1/4" dowel rod. *On mine, the original screw holes were too sloppy to get a good grip because you are screwing into the ply.

Only problem, you will have to take a generator to power the tools,
the electric is off for the winter. ;)

Have the weekend off, so hopefully I can put on a coat of poly to finish off the teak. Couldnt find the man-o-war stuff. Oh well. She is still much better then what she looked before. ;)
