get the higher horse power and keep it out of WOT till you need it. This will save fuel but give you the power when you most need it. Your resale will be higher. Buy one of those doubles you where talking about then resale the one you dont use or keep it for parts except lower unit.

I know I asked a similar question over on THT, and the injected SUZUKI's were spoken of highly for economy and the carburated YAMAHA's were as well. Bear in mind, asked about economical yet cheap to purchase on a small budget. The JOHNNY-RUDES are regarded as ultra reliable(if VRO removed) but ultra fuel thirsty. The 150 YAMAHA's and the older smaller displacement BLACK MAX MERC's were highly suggested.
